Reduce the Appearance of Wrinkles through Exercises for the Face

Exercising the muscles of the face helps tone them up and delays the onset of unsightly wrinkles and laugh lines.

Face gym (or exercises for the face), irons out fine lines, crow feet, laugh lines, jowls and wrinkles, and prevents the skin from sagging. It supplies oxygen rich blood to the face and the scalp and grants the skin a youthful glow. Exercising the muscles of the face preserves the youthful bloom for a longer time.

The following exercises effectively work on the muscles of the face and neck and guarantee decelerating the appearance of wrinkles.

Reducing Fine Lines On The Forehead

Anxiety, apprehension and rage etch out lines on the forehead, which, over a period of time become permanent. Also, with aging, fine lines and wrinkles develop around the eyes and on the forehead.

These exercises promise to eliminate crow feet around the eyes and fine lines and wrinkles on the forehead:

  • Using the left hand for the left eyebrow and right hand for the right eyebrow, push them up.
  • Then, close the eyes, and using the muscles of the eyes, try to pull the eyebrows down, by shutting the eyes tight. Open the eyes.
  • Do the exercise to the count of 10, two sets.
  • Now, push the eyebrows down with the hands and then try to raise them against the pressure, now using the muscles on the forehead.
  • Do the exercise to the count of 10, two sets.

Reducing Laugh Lines and wrinkles on the Face

Too much laughing or frowning and a progression of age, sketches lines around the mouth. These exercises will help reduce laugh lines and prevent sagging of the cheeks. It also helps eliminate a double chin.

  • Puff out the left cheek. Then puff out the right cheek.
  • Alternately keep puffing out the cheeks, counting 20.
  • Then, open the mouth wide and shut it, as if chewing a chewing gum in an exaggerated fashion.
  • Repeat this to the count of 20.

Reducing Wrinkles On The Neck

The skin on the neck is very thin and delicate and wrinkles become very noticeable here. These exercises check the appearance of ugly wrinkles on the neck and keep the chin and neck muscles firm.

  • Tilt the head backwards. Using one hand, pull the neck muscles downwards, while the neck remains stretched.
  • Likewise, stretching the neck from side to side is as effective.
  • Hold each stretch to the count of 20.

The skin changes with age. Other factors that influence the appearance of wrinkles, in addition to exercise are: diet, lifestyle and environment. Thus, assuming a holistic attitude to skin care will produce speedy and admirable benefits.
